He was born in Constantinople (Istanbul) in 1954, moved to Athens in 1964 and to Alimos in 1976. He is married to Amalia Stavrinaki – Diamanti and they have three children and four grandchildren.

Since 1972 he has worked as an employee in ship supply and international transport companies and as a customs broker. For the past 20 years he has been self-employed in the graphic arts. He has been active in community life and in the associations of Alimos since the 1980s.

He was a founding member of the Parents’ Union of Alimos in 1999.
